The Cross River State Governor, Ben Ayade, on Saturday misplaced the All Progressives Congress (APC) senatorial ticket within the state.
The governor was defeated by Barr. Adams Cecilia within the major election held at Cross River North Senatorial District.

The Chairman of the state electoral committee, Ushie Harmless, who introduced the election consequence, stated Adams polled 140 votes to defeat Ayade who obtained 52 votes.
The third aspirant, Martin Orim, scored 61 votes.
Ayade can also be eyeing the APC presidential ticket in subsequent week’s major in Abuja.
